This 12 ounce vacuum bottle is the right size for my 7th grade son to take to school with his milk and it keeps the milk plenty cold from 7am til about noon; in fact it stays quite drinkable well past that in our experience. This is the 3rd one of these we've bought (4th if you count the one he lost) and all of them hold up well. The silicone rubber gaskets in the cap have lasted and there are no leaks. We put the cap in the top shelf of the dishwasher and the bottle on a peg in the bottom shelf; before I put milk in it I put it in the freezer for a few minutes to chill down the bottle in advance. The outside other than having some wear and tear is still looking good. The opening at the top is a very good size for drinking straight from the bottle.
